This Privacy Policy explains how Enmirth (“Enmirth”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use Appliedly, including our website and apps (the “Service”). By using the Service you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Appliedly is a product of Enmirth. Enmirth is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your email address and, once billing opens, your chosen plan and billing cadence.
- Application and job-search content: companies, roles, statuses, dates, notes, saved search criteria, exclusions, and settings you enter or generate in the Service.
- Messages: anything you send through the support, feedback, or contact forms, including your name and email if provided.
Information collected automatically
- Session and security data: a signed session cookie, one-time code challenges, and the timing of sign-in activity used to keep your account secure and expire idle sessions.
- Technical logs: IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, and error details generated by our hosting infrastructure.
We do not ask for, and you should not enter, sensitive information such as government identifiers, health information, or payment card numbers into application notes.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your desk.
- To authenticate you and protect against fraud and abuse.
- To generate recommendations you ask for (see AI processing).
- To send transactional email such as sign-in codes and account or billing notices.
- To respond to support, feedback, and contact requests.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure and reliable service, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. AI processing
Recommendations are generated using a third-party AI model with web search. When you request recommendations, we send the model your saved search criteria and the names of companies and opportunities to exclude. We do not include your application notes or your account email in that request. AI output can be inaccurate or out of date; see our Terms and FAQ.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Appliedly, under contractual obligations appropriate to their role:
- Hosting, storage, and delivery infrastructure (for example Vercel).
- Email delivery for sign-in codes and support messages (for example Resend).
- AI model and search provider used for recommendations (Google).
- A payment processor, once paid checkout is available. Card details go directly to the processor and are not stored by us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you if your information becomes subject to a different policy.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use only what the Service needs: a secure session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie for one-time sign-in codes, and browser local storage for preferences such as your theme. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Retention
We keep your account and job-search content while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account we remove or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records for legal, security, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. Support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and to maintain a record of it. Backups roll off on a regular schedule.
8. Security
We use passwordless sign-in, signed and expiring sessions, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can edit or delete most content directly in the Service. For anything else, or to exercise a right, email [email protected] from your account email. We will respond within the time required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service.
